Back from my lenghty hiatus…
So most of you probably thought I died or gave up. Not really the case. Just let my life get in the way of my creativity. Sad but true. Project 365 sounds great on paper or on screen if you will. And in January when it is super quite around the studio it seems like the perfect thing to do. Problem is the novelty of it wears off right about the time business picks up and it is quite easy to dump my personal projects and get sucked in to the daily studio life. That’s nothing against the studio. I love what I do, obviously, or I wouldn’t do it. But it’s much easier to just dive in to the projects on the schedule and poor all of my creativity into those sessions and not make time to feed my inner artist. Which I am finding out is currently a hungry child with a short attention span and even shorter temper.
So if there are any of you still bothering to check in on me hopefully I can give you something worth checking up on. I am smart enough now to know that a daily photo isn’t very likely but I think I can challenge myself to post somewhat regularly.
As you know Saturday was September 11th. As with all of us it is still quite vivid in my memory. Our local fire department pulled the huge ladder truck up next to Garriott and hung a huge American flag from the bucket. It is so large that it is actually hard to photograph and give a good idea of it’s size. I took several photos of it and just couldn’t make the size translate because I had to use such a wide angle lens to show it and the ladder. It was right at 5pm and one of the firemen was climbing up to take it down. FINALLY exactly what I needed to relate the size.
